At Deanside Village, families are connected to a broad range of education options across Deanside, Caroline Springs, Aintree and Melbourne’s west. From a baby’s first learning experiences to primary and secondary school, vocational training and university, there are pathways available for every stage of life.

Baby and toddler programs

Learning begins well before the first day of kindergarten, with several local programs giving babies, toddlers and their families opportunities to play, socialise and develop new skills.

GymbaROO Caroline Springs delivers age-based classes for babies and children up to five years old, using movement, music and play to support early development.

Melton City Council also supports community playgroups where babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children can meet, play and learn alongside other local families.

At Caroline Springs Library and other Melton library locations, regular early years programs include Baby Bounce, Toddler Time, Preschool Storytime and Family Tales. These welcoming sessions introduce young children to stories, songs and language while helping parents and carers connect with their local community.

Early learning and childcare close to home

Deanside families have access to several purpose-built childcare and kindergarten centres close to home.

Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten operates centres at Deanside and Deanside Village, providing care and education for children from six weeks to six years old. Its programs include early learning, kindergarten and school-readiness experiences designed to support children as they prepare for primary school.

Only About Children Deanside is another purpose-built early learning campus planned to welcome families from July 2026. The centre is designed for children from six weeks to six years and includes nursery, toddler and kindergarten programs.

Families can also use Melton City Council's central registration process to apply for funded three and four-year-old kindergarten places across 28 participating services within the municipality.

Primary school years

For many families in Deanside Village, Deanside Primary School is the designated government primary school. Opened in 2022, the school supports students from Foundation to Year 6 and places an emphasis on creating a welcoming, inclusive learning community.

Some future releases may fall within the Aintree Primary School zone. Also catering for students from Foundation to Year 6, the school opened in 2021 to support the growing communities of Aintree and Melbourne's west.

Families seeking an independent education can also consider Southern Cross Grammar in Caroline Springs or the Woodlea campus of Bacchus Marsh Grammar in Aintree. Both provide pathways extending from the primary years through to secondary education.

Nearby Dharra School in Aintree provides another education pathway for eligible students with intellectual disabilities. The government specialist school supports students from Prep to Year 12 and provides individualised programs across both the primary and secondary years.

Secondary school pathways

Yarrabing Secondary College is the designated government secondary school for many current Deanside Village residents. This school opened in 2024 and is progressively adding year levels as its first students move through their secondary education.

Springside West Secondary College provides another government option within the surrounding area. The Year 7 to 12 school offers both VCE and vocational pathways, alongside programs supporting academic extension, wellbeing and students' individual interests.

Southern Cross Grammar and Bacchus Marsh Grammar also allow students to continue within an independent school environment from the primary years through to Year 12.

Tertiary education and future pathways

After secondary school, students can explore university, TAFE and vocational education opportunities across Melbourne.

Victoria University has several campuses throughout Melbourne's western suburbs, including locations in St Albans, Sunshine, Werribee and Footscray. Its courses span vocational education, undergraduate degrees and postgraduate study.

Closer to home, the Australian Institute for Skills and Higher Education in Caroline Springs provides practical, industry-aligned vocational programs, with a particular focus on automotive education and training.

Melbourne's CBD and inner city further expand the range of tertiary pathways available. RMIT's Melbourne City campus delivers programs across a broad range of study areas, while the University of Melbourne's main Parkville campus is located immediately north of the CBD.

With established early learning centres, government and independent schools and connections to tertiary education across Melbourne, families can choose the learning environment that best supports their children while remaining part of a connected and growing local community.

Families considering government school options should confirm current zoning and enrollment requirements through Find My School or directly with the relevant school, as school zones and eligibility can change.
